Shame on those, who get their salary at black cash-desks! 1929
Soviet social poster "Shame (on those) who receive their salary at the black cash desks!", by artist D. Babichenkom in 1929, when the anti-alcohol campaign was in full swing. During the first five-year plan (pyatiletka), an accelerated industrialization of the country came across laxity, low labor discipline, truancy, absenteeism and drunkenness of workers. To fight these problems, new methods were used: such as “black boards”. The names of the irresponsible workers were printed or written on them. “Black cash desks”, in which salaries were paid to violators of labor discipline - separately from all good workers. The poster shows a black desk in a form of a bottle of alcohol.
